The genesis of their entrepreneurial venture began over three decades ago with Just Joinery, a testament to Mackay's rich timber craftsmanship. Brett had completed his joinery apprenticeship with the business and when it came up for sale in 2009, the couple purchased the business and embraced its legacy, infusing it with their vision and expertise. Specialising in bespoke solid timber work, from majestic staircases to intricate custom furniture, Just Joinery epitomises elegance and timeless craftsmanship.
However, recognising the need to cater to diverse markets, the couple ventured into new horizons with Creative Edge Cabinetry about five years ago. Specialising in kitchen, bathroom and laundry cabinetry, Creative Edge Cabinetry brings together functionality and aesthetics, offering affordable solutions tailored to modern living.
The synergy between Brett's mastery as a joiner and Nicolette's background in interior design is the cornerstone of their success. Nicolette praises Brett's craftsmanship, while she spearheads the creativity, design and client interactions.
