At the backbone of health and vitality in Mackay lies a chiropractic clinic where the power of the body heals the body.
At Move It Chiropractic, Dr. Suzanne Kippen and her devoted team are revolutionising healthcare, one adjustment at a time. With a commitment to personalised care and an unwavering passion for helping families thrive, Move It Chiropractic stands as more than just a clinic; every adjustment is a step towards vitality. Wellness isn't just a buzzword - the vibrant pulse fuels the practice.
Raised on a sugar cane farm just outside of Mackay, Dr Kippen’s interest in health and fitness grew from an early age. Inspired by personally witnessing the transformative power of chiropractic treatments herself, she embarked on a path to move to Perth to study Chiropractic.
Now, with over 14 years of experience maximising movement & prioritising health & well-being for her patients in Mackay, Dr. Kippen is the owner of Move It Chiropractic, bringing a new era of compassionate chiropractic care to Mackay. She has transformed the practice at 19 Gordon Street (corner of Carlyle) with a blend of traditional wisdom and modern innovation. She has been at this same location for 14 years while the building itself has been a chiropractic centre for more than 30 years.
"The rebranding to 'Move It Chiropractic' embodies our philosophy perfectly—it's about more than just adjustments; it's about empowering our patients to move freely and live life to the fullest,” Dr. Kippen said.
From the tiniest newborns to the wisest of seniors, Move It Chiropractic welcomes & encourages patients of all ages and abilities. Dr Kippen utilises a variety of techniques to suit each patient regardless of their age or circumstance, she finds the right technique that fits the person. Whether it’s infants to promote the healthy development of the nervous system, help with pregnancy wellness, care for women after the strain of childbirth, specialised rehabilitation treatment for athletes seeking peak performance or for those more senior that want to move more freely and without pain. Every individual receives a tailored care plan specific to their diagnosis and goals.
"Women often prioritise the well-being of their families over their own, but neglecting their health can have long-term consequences,” Dr. Kippen added.
“From lower back discomfort post-birth to persistent headaches and digestive issues, women often dismiss these symptoms as part of daily life. However, they can be indicators of underlying issues that need attention.”
Dr. Kippen's journey as a chiropractor and mother is a testament to the delicate dance of life balance. With two children, her days are a whirlwind of school and day-care prep, gymnastics, swimming & soccer, balanced with her own fitness goals and business responsibilities.
Behind the scenes of her bustling clinic, Dr. Kippen's husband plays a pivotal role, sharing the responsibilities of parenthood with equal fervour.
“Teamwork makes the dream work,” she said, allowing Dr. Kippen the ability to have a work/life balance.
"His contribution has been immeasurable, juggling his aspirations to ensure our children and my practice thrive. I couldn't do it without him,” she said.
In a world where "surviving" often takes precedence over thriving, Dr. Kippen and the team at Move It Chiropractic are on a mission to change the narrative.
By providing compassionate care, fostering meaningful connections, and empowering & educating individuals to embrace their full potential, they're not just helping people move better—they're helping them live better, one adjustment at a time.
