Lisa Collins’ journey into real estate began with a tactful shift from a dispassionate law degree to a dynamic career where her strengths shine. Explore Property Whitsunday has provided the perfect environment for her skills and ambition to thrive.
“Real estate has always sparked my interest. While I was deep into a law degree, I found myself lacking passion for it, so I made the bold decision to leave university and enrol in the REIQ real estate license course.”
With her background in legal administration and conveyancing, Lisa knew her process-driven nature and people skills would allow her to thrive in the industry. A connection with Steve Marks, the principal of Explore Property Whitsunday, further solidified her decision.
“Not long after we relocated to the Whitsundays from the NSW Central Coast, my son became friends with Steve Marks' son. I mentioned I was finishing my real estate license, and everything seemed to fall into place.”
Lisa believes building meaningful relationships and values the unique lifestyle and close-knit nature of the Whitsundays.
“It’s important to approach every relationship with kindness and respect,” Lisa says, “The Whitsunday community is unique—everyone seems interconnected in a way that’s special to small coastal towns.”
“If you have a genuine interest for anything in life, go for it. I've realised that if something doesn’t inspire you, it’s worth rethinking your path” says Lisa, “When I finally followed my passion, everything just clicked.”
