A Driving Force in Engineering, Electrical, and Diesel Services

Since its debut in November 2019, Baltic Group Pty Ltd has rapidly transformed from a bold vision in engineering into a full-service powerhouse, particularly in mining, resources and utilities. Co-founded by Lloyd Strutynski and Elliott Magnus, this enterprise has seamlessly expanded its foundations in engineering to encompass electrical and diesel services. With a robust team of more than 100 dedicated professionals and an ever-expanding footprint, Baltic Group is not just a service provider-it'sa driving force ensuring the flawless execution of its clients' projects and setting new maintenance standards across Queensland and beyond.

Lloyd and Elliott's journey to founding Baltic Group began years before the company's official formation."Elliott and I had studied at TAFE together and ended up working at the same business about eight years later," Lloyd recalls. "We worked in the same role, travelling throughout the Bowen Basin together and building some really good relationships throughout that time. We had talked about combining our expertise into our own business off and on for a long time, but finally put the plan into action after discovering some gaps in the market we knew we could solve and execute to a high standard. Plus a few too many big weeks away helped to pull that trigger."

Their story is one of true-blue Aussie determination, starting with little, to creating a legacy to be proud of in a few short years. "We had to borrow a car from my brother-in- law just to get to work in the early days," Lloyd explained. "The challenges were significant, especially with the onset ofCOVID-19 right as we launched, but our determination and experience helped us navigate those tough times."

Their combined industry experience laid a strong foundation for Baltic Group's success. Lloyd, who started his mechanical fitting apprenticeship in 2012, gained extensive experience in wash plant maintenance and operations. Elliott, who began his mechanical fitting apprenticeship in 2011, honed his skills in the sugar industry before moving to fixed plant maintenance in the mines.

In early 2023, Baltic Group embarked on a new phase of growth by integrating Beau Hargrave and Todd Saron into its leadership team. Beau, a seasoned electrician, brought his expertise to the company through the acquisition of his previous business, BH Electrical, which was rebranded as Baltic Electrical. As a result, he became a co-owner and director of Baltic Electrical, overseeing its operations alongside Lloyd andElliott.

"At Baltic Electrical, we strive to offer a wide range of services, from residential maintenance to complex commercial and industrial projects. Our extensive experience ensures we meet the diverse needs of our clients effectively," Beau said. At a similar time, Baltic Group launched Baltic Diesel, withTodd Saron at the helm. An experienced diesel fitter, Todd's extensive experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance, servicing, repairs, and rebuilds has been instrumental in the rapid growth of Baltic Diesel.

"Baltic Diesel excels in heavy mobile equipment maintenance, offering both preventative maintenance and complete rebuilds. Our expertise ensures minimal downtime and enhanced equipment performance,” Todd explained.

Both Beau and Todd manage and hold part-ownership in their respective divisions at Baltic Group, reflecting their integral roles in the company's continued expansion and success. Baltic Group's commitment to excellence and growth isevident in its plans for the future. The construction of a new facility inPaget in 2025 will cater to the company's expanding requirements, while theopening of Baltic Group WA Pty Ltd in Perth on 12th August 2024, marks asignificant milestone in their geographical expansion.

"As we look towards the future, we are excited aboutthe opportunities ahead. Our plans for expansion and new facilities are a testament to ourcommitment to serving our clients across Australia with excellence,"Elliott added. The company's success is built on the strong relationshipsand combined expertise of its founders and directors. As Lloyd and Elliottcontinue to lead Baltic Engineering, Beau and Todd's contributions to BalticElectrical and Baltic Diesel ensure that Baltic Group remains at the forefrontof the industry.

"All companies hold contracts and long-term work andare continually growing quite rapidly," Lloyd said.
